During this assignment I had to create a memo to the vice president of marketing listing the demographics through a form of a table. The main technology skilled practiced was inserting and creating different tables.. Also, I used my knowledge of the basic alignment,spacing, and indents throughout the document. I learned how to incorporate tables into word documents and get familiar with the different design and layout options you can use. For the most part I felt I did well following directions on creating a similar table to the one in the text book, which consisted of shadings, borders, merging cells, aligning text, etc. On the other hand, I feel in order to improve on work I could have read the directions more clearly because at one point I didn't apply the option of alphabetically formatting the items in the second table correctly. However, when I reviewed each step before saving, I realized instead of doing it manually I could have used the correct and more efficient option word provides.

In this assignment I had to create a three column one-page flyer for customers of Voyager Travel Adventures in Microsoft Publisher. The technology skills I used were as follows, using drop caps, adding shadings and borders to words, creating a three column flyer using text boxes, and inserting images while placing them in a balanced area of the document. While completing this assignment I got to know publisher better and how it can provides an easier way to make a document look visually appealing through it various templates it provides, as well as being able to create your own. I learned more on the options it offers and how simple it was to create a flyer. Overall, I felt I did well on being creative in making the assignment visually appealing and balancing the documents words and pictures as well as what colors to use in certain areas. However, in order to improve on my work I could have played around more with the options publisher offers to make the flyer less simple.

During this assignment I created a table in Excel to compute the
payroll amounts for Teen U.S.A.’s employees. The technology skills I used to
complete this assignment were knowing how to use formulas to multiply, add, and
subtract, using parentheses in formulas to find certain amounts, being able to
references other cell answers to create other formulas, changing page margins,
and using the AutoFill feature. Also, through this assignment I've learned many different pay roll formulas and how to input them into the document. I learned how to change the margins in an excel document and being able to apply certain shadings to columns to make them stand out. Furthermore, I felt I did well on applying all the formulas correctly and being efficient in using the AutoFill feature to make it faster to apply the same formulas to certain columns. However, what I could have done better was be more careful when inserting the information because the last column I realized my total amount of the column didn't match up with the example on the worksheet since I entered in the wrong amount for one of the persons net pay amount.

Career Exploration Project
In this assignment I had to choose 8 career's under the personality types I ranked when taking the O*Net Interest Profiler quiz. The three top personality types I ranked higher under were artistic, social, and enterprising. Then, I fully researched each career and I thoroughly answered the 11 questions. After, I had to create two tables to set up all my data in a clear, appealing way with4 careers in each table. The technology skills I needed to know in order to complete this assignment was knowing how to use the internet for research, the basics about Ms Office, and being able to create a table in a word document. Through this assignment I learned about many careers I was interested in, in much greater detail. Also, I feel as though I have accomplished a lot through this assignment because I have a different perspective and understanding of jobs, which is going to help when deciding on a career I will pursue in my future. I think I overall did well on researching each occupation thoroughly, but I could have improved on my work by creating a more appealing table with a more brief description on each job for an easier read.
